Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 14, 2026

1. Who We Are

This website is operated by Know How Trading B.V., trading under the name Know How Containers. We are responsible for the personal data we process through this website.

Registered office: Bulkenaarsestraat 1, 4708 SK Roosendaal, The Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce number: 70367973. VAT identification number: NL858296482B01.

2. Personal Data We Collect

  • Contact form data, including your name, email address, phone number, company name, message, project details, and any files you choose to upload.
  • Stocklist request data, including your email address and the form location from which you submitted the request.
  • Communication data, including emails, replies, quotation requests, and follow-up messages.
  • Technical and usage data, such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, timestamps, cookie consent choices, and similar website log or analytics data.

3. How We Use Personal Data

  • To respond to enquiries, contact requests, and requests for quotations.
  • To send stocklist information or availability updates when you request them.
  • To review project details, uploaded specifications, delivery requirements, and container needs.
  • To prepare offers, arrange follow-up communication, and support potential or existing business relationships.
  • To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website.
  • To manage cookie consent and comply with legal, tax, accounting, security, and administrative obligations.

4. Legal Bases

Where the GDPR applies, we process personal data on one or more legal bases: your consent, our legitimate interest in operating the website and responding to business enquiries, steps taken before entering into a contract, performance of a contract, and compliance with legal obligations.

You may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. This does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal.

5. Cookies, Analytics, and Tags

We use Cookiebot by Usercentrics to manage cookie consent. We may also use Google Tag Manager and related analytics or marketing tags, depending on your consent choices and the current website configuration.

Non-essential cookies and similar technologies are only used where required consent has been given. You can change your consent choices through the Cookiebot consent control on the website.

More information is available in our Cookie Policy.

6. Fraud and Bot Protection

We use Cloudflare Turnstile on contact and stocklist forms to protect the website and our communications from automated abuse. Turnstile runs when you submit a protected form and is designed to distinguish people from bots without requiring a visible checkbox in normal use.

For this purpose, Cloudflare may process technical signals such as your IP address, TLS fingerprint, browser user-agent, the Turnstile sitekey, and the website origin. Where the GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in protecting the website, forms, and communications from fraud and abuse.

7. Service Providers and Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share personal data only where needed to operate the website, respond to your request, provide services, comply with law, or work with trusted service providers.

Service providers may include website hosting providers, email delivery providers such as Resend, Cloudflare for file storage and bot protection, consent management providers such as Cookiebot by Usercentrics, analytics or tag providers, IT support providers, transport partners, depots, and professional advisers.

Where we use service providers to process personal data on our behalf, we expect them to protect the data and use it only for the agreed purpose.

8. Uploaded Files

If you upload files through the contact form, those files may be stored through our file storage provider and made available to our team through a secure link so we can review your request.

Please do not upload unnecessary personal data, confidential third-party information, or sensitive personal data unless it is relevant to your enquiry.

9. International Transfers

Some service providers may process personal data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards where required, such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

10. Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including responding to enquiries, managing business relationships, handling quotations or orders, resolving disputes, and meeting legal, tax, accounting, and administrative obligations.

Stocklist request information is kept until it is no longer needed or until you ask us to stop using it for that purpose. Uploaded files are kept only as long as needed to assess and follow up on the related enquiry, unless a longer period is required for legitimate business or legal reasons.

11. Your Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, or objection to certain processing.

You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. If you believe we have not handled your personal data properly, you may contact us or lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No website or online transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

13. Automated Decision-Making

We do not use personal data submitted through this website for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

14. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our website, services, providers, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page shows when this policy was last updated.
